Laminate flooring requires some preparation. You need to leave the laminate in the room it will be installed in for a few days for it to adapt to the ambient temperature and humidity. It is important that the surface on which the planks are laid on is as flat and level as possible as if not this could lead to subtle irregularities and/or unevenness.
Most people think the largest area of floor is the most important area to be fitted, however in actual fact it is the doorways, edging, bars and finishing touches that give the professional finish to the overall appearance of the floor.
